Clinical Psychology

Chris Celio is a Psychological Assistant, Registered Psychologist, and life skills coach working with clients of all ages with chronic to severe problems. Chris is the recipient of numerous honors including the Most Outstanding Graduate in Psychology at Loyola Marymount University and was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, National Jesuit Honors Society.

He has created and facilitated social-skills groups, conducted ethnographic studies, led relaxation training, worked with individuals with disabilities, supported individuals diagnosed with cancer, engaged in crisis counseling and suicide prevention, and assisted in gay, lesbian, and transgender crisis counseling. He has facilitated seminars and workshops in stress reduction, creative therapy, and unique therapy for the Portia Bell Hume Behavioral Health and Training Center, the East Contra Costa County Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinic, and the Center for Independent Living, Berkeley.

Dr. Celio enjoys a broad professional background as a Registered Psychologist, General Manager, Administrator, Facilitator, Director of Development, and Community Member. He is a Registered Psychologist with the Portia Bell Hume Behavioral Health and Training Center and a Psychological Assistant with Rubino Counseling Services. He holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and the Clinical Doctor of Psychology Degree from John F. Kennedy University.

Dr. Celio loves working with people. He especially enjoys assisting clients in moving beyond the chronic problems which reduce the quality of their lives. He enjoys coaching clients about the pivotal role of behavioral health in building and maintaining positive human relations at work and home. He blends theory with practical knowledge and enjoys facilitating the success of others. Chris enriches and energizes the lives of his clients and friends.
